- Scab \Scab\ (sk[a^]b), n. [OE. scab, scabbe, shabbe; cf. AS. scaeb, sceabb, scebb, Dan. & Sw. skab, and also L. scabies, fr. scabere to scratch, akin to E. shave. See Shave, and cf. Shab, Shabby.]
