- Tetrodon \Tet"ro*don\, n. [Tetra- + Gr. ?, ?, tooth.] (Zool.) Any one of numerous species of plectognath fishes belonging to Tetrodon and allied genera. Each jaw is furnished with two large, thick, beaklike, bony teeth. [Written also tetradon.] [1913 Webster]
