  • Gliadin \Gli"a*din\, n. [Gr. ? glue: cf. F. gliadine.] (Chem.) Vegetable glue or gelatin; glutin. It is one of the constituents of wheat gluten, and is a tough, amorphous substance, which resembles animal glue or gelatin. [1913 Webster]
