- Geotropism \Ge*ot"ro*pism\, n. [Gr. ge`a, gh^, the earth + ? to turn.] (Biol.) A disposition to turn or incline towards the earth; the influence of gravity in determining the direction of growth of an organ. [1913 Webster]
